On May 1st and 2nd, JPR 2025 featured another edition of the traditional Hands On BI-RADS (Breast Imaging Reporting and Data System) classes, providing an immersion in the study of mammographic images. The activity is part of the SPR Hybrid Course, which allows for theoretical study online in advance. The course was coordinated by Drs. Bárbara Helou Bresciani, Mônica Akahoshi Rudner, Tatiana Cardoso de Mello Tucunduva and Tomie Heldt Ichihara.

During the activities, lecturers presented cases so that students could analyze them individually, answering questions and participating in in-depth discussions about each clinical situation.

The first day was divided into two classes. Class 1 began with a theoretical approach moderated by Drs. Tatiana Cardoso de Mello Tucunduva and Bárbara Helou Bresciani. The people responsible for the content were Drs. Marco Antonio Costenaro, in the theoretical part, and Vitor Chiarini Zanetta and Marco Antonio Costenaro in the practical part.

Class 2 focused on practical activities, where questions were proposed and each student had access to computers with specific files for image analysis and reports. The sessions were led by the moderators, Drs. Tomie Heldt Ichihara, and by professors Heni Debs Skaf (theory) and Vivian Simone de Medeiros Ogata and Heni Debs Skaf (practice).

On the second day, the attendees continued with self-guided practices; this time the activity was supervised by moderator Dr. Mônica Akahoshi Rudner, with the support of professors Drs. Érica Endo and Juliana Hiraoka Catani.

The event reinforces the commitment to training and improving professionals in the field, providing interactive and dynamic experiences in the interpretation of mammographic images.
